So my friend at work has a new 05' STI. Its black, he loves it, but he drives like a pansy. I had to go to a WRX meet for work and drove my 98 M3 CVT. I must have lost him like 50 times on the highway cause he wouldnt go over 60 mph-seriously. It was sad...so Ive been bustin on him for two months since.

Today was cold here, and in a week or so I put the car away into storage, plus it was time to relieve some tension so I followed him up to High Ridge rd which is two lanes and is very straight. Now to give y'all some stats, my car is a 98' 25k orig miles, babied, and 240hp-yes thats it. But I will tell you this, its fast as hell, not quick, but fast. From 60-130 that crappity smacking car moves and it loves it, handles like pure sex. STI-300hp, Ive driven em and I find them to be very skittish...

The light turned green, I shut off the ASC (from 1st to 2nd the trac control would engage and thus no power) and we went for it. I only revved it to like 3500 and let go, even through 1st, hit 2nd and started to pull, he pulled a little on me (when his boost kicked in), went to 3rd (dead even) and at 70, that was it, I pulled like 2 car lengths ahead of him, into fourth (at 85) and I was a solid 4 lenghts on him. Killed it at 120, by then he pansied out anyway.

Ive raced, and will race pretty much anything in that car, especially on the Merrit. The STI's are fast, no doubt, and I bet a better driver could have taken me up to 80 or so, but beyond that theres no way. Hes getting a reflash, downpipe, exhaust and a bunch of stuff-pulling 340 tq at the wheels when done (he says), and Im going to race him in my Starion in the spring. I definitely want Joe and others to be there, cause Im gonna hand him his ass...lol

of course you beat him on the high end e36 m3s have a high reving torquey 3.2 l6 the evos have little baby l4. tis basicly an engine powered turbo. hahaha. get the e46 and eat every steet car alive. nothing better than geman engineering... and starquests.
