88 quest vs 89 Supra

My buddy bought an 89 supra, bone stock w/3 inch exhaust and a shaved head, and THICK head gasket.....Trying to get me to race him, but my quest isnt running....(just bought it 6/30/06).........WHO DO YOU GUYS THINK WILL WIN?????? i have never seen a quest before i bought mine, and im not sure how fast they really are....i keep hearing that they are fast...what do yall think?

my buddy has a pontiac trans am with a 350 LS1 with only 18k on it and i pulled on him like he was sitting still when i hit third gear. i know my car is mildly modded and only has 65k on it but like everyone else said the right few mods and you could beat him as long as you drive pretty good. oh yeah my buddies LS1 is an automatic so its not like he had to worry about shifting. hope that helps? yeah.

he also had a car length to start also. he was in front of me at the light and he a car next to him so once we took off i had the room to get over then stayed next to him through second and passed him in third gear at about 75mph. i know not the smartest thing to do on the street but him bragging about his $18000 kind gets old. whats even more funny is he wants to race me head to head. i just feel bad beating him with my $1800 car with only $2500 into it.
